With the generous assistance of the German Nepal Help Association, we were able to upgrade the Lion Basant Primary School. This project was jointly funded by the German Nepal Help Association, who donated 355000 rupees, and our club, who fundraised 7816.14 rupees., bringing the total project funds to 362,281.41 rupees. Before this project, the school was suffering from rundown, decrepit facilities. The classroom walls and roofs were in need of repair, and the environment was preventing the school from functioning properly. With the help of the German Nepal Help Association, new classrooms were built. On the 2048/9/8, or the 23/12/1991, the Commerce and Industry Minister, Mr. Gopal Man Shrestha, inaugurated the new school. This completed project has had long term benefits for over 300 families.
